Not-So-Skinny Scarf

This started off as a "Skinny Scarf" as detailed in "Knit Scarves!"
When completed, it turned out not to be so skinny. Oh well, 'tis life!

wavy gravy

well, here's the progress on the wavy gravy scarf I'm making for Sara's goddaugher, Sara (yes, she is named after Sara) . . . yes I know there is a hole in my sock.

PS Since Amy has an updated picture of her scarf...you know I had to show mine...
My mom's cable scarf is a little over halfway done...the only thing is, since I didn't have the 9's (see previous post), it's turning out to be a miniature version...sigh.

Great balls of fi-yah!!!

I think I'm on a knitting kick! I just can't wait to start the flower petal washcloths from Weekend Knitting. I bought this yarn from ebay (love it!); it's Crystal Palace Cotton Chenille.
Of course, I don't have the right size needles, so I'll ask ever-so-nicely....
Nancy, may I borrow your 16" size 6 circulars?

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

It's time to start the holiday gift knits!

I started this lovely cable scarf for my mother..so shhhhhh...it's a secret! It's from the book One Skein. I'm using a so soft merino/cashmere blend in a nut brown color on size 8 needles (because I don't have 9's..thanks Nancy! ; )). Whatcha think?

And now for something new...

I must admit, I'm pretty warshragged out, so yesterday I began a new project. Thanks to the 70% off yarn sale at Hancock I purchased a beautiful (at least in my opinion) ribbon yarn and am knitting a drop stitch scarf. After experimenting with a couple of patterns, I made up my own that I feel really shows off the yarn. The color is Autumn Leaves and ribbon is so fun to work with.

Another One Bites the Dust

I've finished another warshrag, and it gave me an idea! I plan on making one, or a few, in various shades of the same color from dark to light. What do you think (maybe a red, to hot pink, to light pink; or delft blue, hot blue, to baby blue)? I feel a trip to Hobby Lobby might be in order.

The NeedleMaster has arrived . . .

Welcome to Purl-land

Clayton has learned to purl. Check out his dishcloth.

Veronica, you may make yourself appear to be taller by standing on your toes, but you'll never make your scarf as long as mine!

The stash

well, here's my stash, most of it purchased at the going out of business sale at Hancock, but not all of it. . . watch out Veronica. . . I'm catching up to you.

fyi. . . my $41.52 total at Hancock would have been $97.42 without the discounts! I love sales!!!!

Wanted: Have You Seen This Yarn?

I know I've seen this yarn before, but I can't remember where. Help me Obi-Won Kenobi. You're my only hope.

Here's a picture of the blanket that I am going to try to make, the pattern doesn't look too hard. . . I just hope I can follow the pattern.
